Jess Thornhill is a ceramic artist born in London and working in Mexico City. Her work usually begins on the wheel, before hand piecing elements together to make her final lamp forms.
With roots in India, the Caribbean, and the UK, Jess draws inspiration for her lamps from the multitude of colors, shapes, and histories of her mixed heritage. She is also constantly inspired by the natural environments and cultures of the places she has lived over the years: London, San Francisco, and Mexico.
